History is now. A dynasty walks among us.

Spain routed Italy 4-0 in Kiev, winning the Euro 2012 final and claiming an unprecedented third straight major international title.

David Silva, Jordi Alba, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata scored the goals, Torres earned the Golden Boot and the unlikely title of Euro 2012's top scorer, and captain Iker Casillas lifted yet another trophy in the aftermath.

While we sort out the fallout from Spain's historic win—really, though, are they the best ever?—here are seven things we learned from the final.
